How to Enable PS5 Remote Play and Stream to Steam Deck

To enable PS5 Remote Play and stream to your Steam Deck, you need to configure the proper settings on your PS5. This can be done easily by following a few simple steps.

First, go to the Settings on your PS5. Select Systems, then go to Remote Play, and turn on the toggle. This will enable the Remote Play feature on your PS5, allowing you to stream games to another device.

Next, navigate to the Power Saving settings. Click on Features Available in Rest Mode, and make sure to enable both “Stay Connected to the Internet” and “Turning On PS5 From Network.” It's worth noting that Rest Mode has been associated with some reported issues on the PS5, so you can choose to skip this step if you prefer. PS5 Remote Play can still work without Rest Mode.

Once these settings are correctly selected, your PS5 will be ready to stream to another device, such as your Steam Deck.

Now, let's move on to setting up the Steam Deck. This part may take a bit longer than configuring the PS5. Ensure that you have the necessary equipment and software for streaming from the Steam Deck. Follow the instructions provided with the Steam Deck to complete the setup process.

With both your PS5 and Steam Deck properly configured, you can now enjoy streaming games from your PS5 to your Steam Deck. Simply open the Remote Play app on your Steam Deck, connect to your PS5, and start playing your favorite games.

Please note that a stable and fast internet connection is essential for a smooth streaming experience. Make sure both devices are connected to the same network for optimal performance.

By enabling PS5 Remote Play and streaming to your Steam Deck, you can enjoy your PS5 games on a portable device, allowing for gaming on the go.
