New Hints at a Return to Unova in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's latest DLC expansion, The Teal Mask, is already hinting at a possible return to the Unova region. The game's update includes a call about a school trip to the Academy in Mesagoza, which is confirmed to be located in Unova. This is the first time since 2009's HeartGold and SoulSilver that players have had the opportunity to travel to another region within a Pokémon game.

Although the exact location of Blueberry Academy is not specified, it appears to be located off the coast of Undella Town or to the south of Castellia City. This information aligns with leaks that suggest the DLC will contain a “big spoiler” for a future title. Additionally, several key characters in the upcoming DLC, including Drayton and Lacey, are rumored to have connections to Unova Gym Leaders Drayden and Clay, respectively.

The possibility of a return to Unova opens up various potential game options. Players speculate about a Legends: Kyurem title that expands on the lore of Black and White and their sequels, Black 2 and White 2. Alternatively, a remake of Black and White is also a possibility, as Game Freak has been revisiting previous generations with remakes. Another exciting prospect is the potential release of Black 3 and White 3, offering the first true sequel to a Pokémon game since 2012.

While these possibilities are based on early hints from the DLC content, they have already generated excitement within the Pokémon community. Fans eagerly await further developments and announcements regarding the future of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
