Pokémon x Van Gogh Collaboration: How to Get the Limited Edition Pikachu Promo Card

The Pokémon Company has partnered with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to release a special line of products inspired by the museum's paintings. As part of this collaboration, a limited edition Pikachu with Felt Hat promo card has been introduced. However, acquiring this card may not be easy, as there are limited ways to obtain it.

If you live near Amsterdam or are willing to travel, visiting the Van Gogh Museum is one way to get the Pikachu promo card. Inside the museum, you can explore the collaboration gallery and participate in various activities. A shop selling collaborative products is also available, including Pokémon plushes, figures, bags, and art prints inspired by the museum's works. However, be aware that scalpers have already targeted the store to resell the items. It is recommended to avoid buying from second-hand websites to discourage this behavior.

To get the Pikachu with Felt Hat TCG promo card, you need to participate in a special “Pokémon Adventure” activity at the museum, where you can learn more about the art that inspired these collaborative pieces. Keep in mind that some visitors have reported harassment from individuals waiting outside the museum, who try to buy or steal the promo card.

If you are unable to visit the museum, there is still a chance to get involved. The Pokémon x Van Gogh products will also be available online through the Pokémon Center website. However, not all products will be included in the online release. When purchasing products from the collaboration collection on the Pokémon Center, users will receive the Pikachu promo card as a gift, while supplies last. It is advisable to be quick, as these items are likely to sell out fast.

The exact timing of the Pokémon x Van Gogh collection going live on the Pokémon Center website is yet to be announced. However, it is anticipated that there will be little warning before the release. The collaboration will continue at the Van Gogh Museum until January 7, 2024, potentially allowing for restocks of certain products in both the physical and online shops to combat scalpers.
